Energy Conservation – New Indian Way for Affordable & Sustainable homes
One Day Training program on Eco-Niwas Samhita (Energy Conservation Building Code for Residential Buildings) was conducted on 28th July 2020 for Architects, Engineers and project coordinators from different Departments of Govt. of Delhi as well as private practicing Architects and Engineers. The webinar was organized by ENS Cell in support with EE & REM, BEE and GIZ.
The programme commenced with an introduction speech from the senior official of EE&REM,Delhi. He explained the importance of energy efficiency in residential units in India. He also discussed the various initiatives taken by the EE&REM to implement energy efficiency measures in the state in association with Bureau of Energy Efficiency.This was followed by speech of representatives from BEE and GIZ , who spoke about importance of energy efficiency and the activities of BEE for energy efficiency in residential buildings. The Eco-Niwas Samhita and Star labelling Programme for Energy Efficient Homes were presented and discussed in the webinar.Total Number of Participants were 52 people in the webinar.
